After years of dating, Heron and Ali tied the knot in a small intimate 80-guest service at the scenic Snowvillage Inn in Conway, New Hampshire. With close family and friends by their side, they celebrated their way. Ali and Heron met in a library years back and carried that same love-of-reading-theme into their big day. I loved it!
Books adorned tables and an old card catalogue assigned guests to their seats. Tree branches held dangling candles and gems to light the tent for centerpieces. It was pretty amazing. The invitation logo was a bare tree and it was scattered on details throughout the event— nice touch. To keep it cozy, cinnamon martinis and apple cider was served throughout the night. Guests even took home tea boxes for favors.
The theme and event design for this wedding was wonderfully done. Gorgeous.
But I do believe Alison and Heron live in some kind of love bubble. No joke. If this cool elegant wedding and their friends weren’t boxing them in…. I do believe they’d have been out in the woods together skipping around completely entertained and happy to be married. I am around happy couples all the time, but I have never seen two people so giddy. They were so down-to-earth and endearing. Sweetest people ever! They were so engrossed but still so very relaxed with each other. I honestly could not stop watching how they laughed and held each other. Luckily I’m the photographer, I’m allowed to stare! They were so connected.
The two families, despite the obvious cultural differences, connected well that night too. Jokes were shared, toasts were made, love was felt. It was fun to watch all their friends and family collide so nicely. The party was great fun. Ali and Heron, I had the most wonderful day with you and your friends. Many thanks and many well wishes! Enjoy the sneak peak! SO much more coming! Beth :)
