Despite more and more young couples requesting, “Can we just have our digital negatives?” when they book… the 2009 wedding season broke records here at Blush Imagery for album sales. Just getting your digital negative files in your final wedding collection is fine, but you may end up like me. My own wedding files are in a box in the basement. (Dude, I make wedding books for a living— you’d think I’d have time to make my own.) Life is busy and you just never get to it.
Custom albums have been a huge part of my wedding packages for over 8 years. The page deigns have gone from simple, to super collage-y back to minimalistic. My printer has changed. My binder has remained the same: Leather Craftsmen. Simply the best.
I believe having a gorgeous album as a finished product in your wedding collection is the key to happily ever after for a bride. You should feel like you came away with something tangible to have and hold that day forever. Your story in your hands. Here’s what Laura just said about getting her 2009 Blush Imagery album:
“I had to write you yet again another Thank You….the album is perfectly amazing!!!! We are in love with it, it is beautiful, and more than I ever expected. You are truly talented beyond words and we will never be able to thank you enough for capturing our moments so well, Thanks Beth!” — Laura, 2009 Maine bride.
Funny enough, the revision process I do in creating these books requires the couple’s input. I create the initial book to tell an artistic story but then they make changes that make the book personal. And man, what my couple come up with! They make their books so so so much better. It is a collaboration and it’s an art in itself, beyond the initial day of wedding photography.
Here are a selection of album pages (* straight from the mockups… orange guide lines don’t show on actual album pages!) from 2009 to enjoy. All 2009 weddings are represented in some way.
