Maine Wedding: Lori and Craig 06.20.09

big-bloggers-7Lori and Craig’s wedding took place at her mother’s beach home on gorgeous Biddeford Pool, Maine. At the end of  their day, Lori (stunning in a white dress with that gorgeous black hair) looked shocked— almost in disbelief— that the day was over and it went so well. “It was exactly what we wanted. I mean, it was exactly what we wanted,” she said smiling.

The couple’s cool beach event was in a word; magic. Formal enough to be elegant and casual enough to be fun, their wedding will be remembered by their friends and family for a lifetime.Who could forget Craig walking into the theme song from Superman!, the hysterical ceremony speeches written on Tim Horton bags, the fabulous feel of the beach winds during their relaxing cocktail hour, the genuine reception toasts (made me misty), or the surprise tango dance by Lori and Craig at the end. Cha, cha, cha.

I personally had a wonderful time and felt so at home with Lori and Craig, as well as their family and friends. It was just a great, smooth night. For me, the visuals were just too much— there’s so many good shots in this event. Take a look a a select few.

Special note: the amazing peach/yellow popping flowers were done by my friend Gail at Dodge the Florist in Portland, Maine.

RE: maine studio B

Time flies when you are having fun! The move went well to our new bigger downtown location and the dust is now settling.

The new studio is well underway. I’ve seen the UPS man more than my husband in the last few days! Yesterday we had 7 backdrop delivered to the studio…. 9 feet each. Crazy. Today (hopefully) the blackout curtains and the new lamps are coming. We should have things really up and running soon. We decided to name the studio room ….  kinda fun…. maine studio B. (Get it… It could be Beth’s, could be Brian’s, could be Blush’s, could be generic.) I want it to be it’s own separate space. We’ll be using it of course but we’ll also be renting it to other photographers so we want people to feel there’s no specific branding in that work area. Just simple, clean, well equipped space for special projects.

I’ll tell you more about maine studio B and get pictures up of the entire new place when it’s all set. It’s a very exciting time.

I can’t wait to get on with it though! I have a wedding this weekend and couldn’t be happier! A girl can only decorate for so long before she needs air. Beth :)
